What to bring (dance survival kit)!!

Dancing is a close contact and very personal pastime – we need to be considerate of each other. Remember to bring these items with you!

  • Towel and change of polo shirt
  • Deodorant and/or antiperspirant
  • A personal water bottle

Men – it is dance etiquette to ask the lady for a dance – don’t leave her waiting
Ladies – it is dance etiquette not to refuse a request for a dance but you can refuse the second ….
Remember – never walk across the dance floor – always around it!

Dance level abilities

What levels are there?

Absolute Beginner – never been or tried dancing before
Beginner – can dance the basics of the dance style
Improver – learning to combine figures
Intermediates – experienced at dancing complex figures and improving technique

The class is paid on arrival, no terms fees, no commitment.

Wear anything comfortable and supportive, smart casual, layers are great.

Footwear should be able to swivel on a wooden floor we don’t recommend trainers and heels are a personal preference.

We don’t change partners in the class. So you will remain with your dance partner for the whole class. If you don’t have a dance partner you can still attend the class, on the evening you will partner another dancer and stay with this dance partner for the class. No dance partner needed for line dancing.

We have many dance styles to cater to all tastes and all levels, so why not try a new dance style today?

Ballroom & Latin

We will start to learn the basic steps of the main dances. Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango for the Ballroom. Cha Cha Cha and Rumba for the Latin.

Line Dancing

Line dancing takes its rhythms from all styles – Pop, Irish, Latin and Country with changes in speed, footwork and complexity to keep you on your toes!

Rock'n'Roll

Fun, energetic free dancing that lets you mix moves around to suit you and the music. Great social scene gives you plenty of chance to practice your moves.

Sequence Dancing

Sequence Dancing is one of the most popular forms of traditional ballroom dancing in the UK. It’s a fun and sociable form of dance and a great hobby for all ages.

One To One Lessons

Learn to dance in a private lesson that is exclusive to you and your partner. Both Adrian and Sara will be there to teach and demonstrate, two professional teachers for the price of one!
